my pickup needs some work. It has some rust spots and a hole. i am going to cut the rust spot out and put a piece of metal in it.

Fishing On Owsley Fork

I went fishing in a John boat at Owsley Fork with Joe. He had a broken leg. Every time he moved, the boat would about tip over. The bass and bluegill were biting so good we just kept on fishing. We got about 25. I went to get the stringer of fish out of Joe's way and I had not tied it up good. When I went to put on the next bluegill, the stringer was gone, fish and all. After that we went on to the house.

How Coon Hounds Got Started

Christine has about 10 Plot Hound show dogs. She told me coondogs got started from a plot hound. Now there are many kinds of coondogs. I have a redtick female and a Walker dog.

Coyotes and Coon Dogs

I took my coon dog pup "Ruff "out hunting last week. He had treed a coon. Then about 15 coyotes came up on him and the other dogs. We did not find "Ruff" til the next night. He had a cut on his head and leg. A church group on a hay ride found him on Dry Branch where we let him out at the night before. I looked for "Ruff" all night then went home to sleep. I was tickled to death when they called to say they found him. "Ruff" was worn out but happy to see me.
